Jones Lang LaSalle instructed to sell MSD Office and Manufacturing Facility in Portugal

The global healthcare company MSD has instructed Jones Lang LaSalle to proceed with the sale of its manufacturing facility in Portugal, a complex comprising manufacturing installations and offices in Cacém. The instruction will be carried out by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions department.

Ann Charnock, Head of Corporate Solutions informs: This is an excellent office and manufacturing facility and constitutes an excellent opportunity to acquire extremely well maintained manufacturing and office installations in a light industrial location with outstanding motorway connections due to its immediate proximity to the new A16 motorway. The facility is fully certified by Infarmed and as such can readily accommodate healthcare companies, or other light industrial or distribution operations. It has recently been subject to refurbishment and there is additional expansion potential.

The facility comprises 25,000m² of land, 8,560m² of built area, of which manufacturing 4,800m², offices 2,760m² and 1,000m² of ancillary buildings and a 5,000m² unbuilt plot for potential expansion, The property will be sold forthwith and will benefit from vacant possession mid-2012.

Located in the industrial area of Agualva, Cacém, approximately 15 km from Lisbon, the complex was built in 1974 and has undergone continued upgrades and refurbishment, most recently in 2009, with an investment of approximately Euros 1,5 million for a full office building and canteen refurbishment and resulting in a prime quality office building.
